Priestess(the collected Blackstone Erotica)

blackstone_priestess_313px

This collection brings together the first four BLACKSTONE Erotica books:RED MONOLITH FRENZY, GREEN FEVER DREAM, Summonings: Anicka & Kamiland Summonings: Yvette’s Interview in the order in which the story occurs. Follow a novice Priestess of the Black Stone as she calls up prehistoric sex-gods in the mountains of Eastern Europe, gathers power and partners in the glitzy dungeons of London’s BDSM scene, and mates with monsters in subterranean chambers of lust and horror! Learn the backstory of her friends, lovers, and enemies! This volume also contains excerpts from Blackstone Book 3, Yellow Sign Bound and Orgy in the Valley of the Lust Larvae PLUS a special essay from the author on the weird-erotica writing experience.
-Martian Migraine Press

This is some fine literary smut. Published by Martian Migraine Press and written by Justine Geoffrey(not Justin Geoffrey of People of the Monolith fame). A collection of Erotica set in the shared Cthulhu Mythos of HP LOvecraft, Robert E. Howard, August Derleth, etc… Cultists, otherworldly “Demons”, sex dungeons, fish fuckers, human bodily fluids mixing with otherly world ichor and other such things.
It seems partially set in the town in the Czech republic where Robert E. Howard’s ‘The Black Stone’ took place. It’s like Robert E. Howard & Penthouse Letters meet through a Flesh World  ad and got together in a hotel room for a long weekend, only stopping to write and consume foodstuffs and other substances.

While not recommended for everyone, do read this if you like your mythos w/ a bit of slap and tickle. If Fendogan & Bremer ever publish “Weirdest Shadows Over Innsmouth” they should include Green Fever Dream. The closest thing I can compare this to is reading the Xothic Legend Cycle from Chaosium and the Delta of Venus with a fever, and unknowingly vacillating between the two. Only Warning, this isn’t very vanilla.

Worlds of Cthulhu

I love horror anthologies…

I read about 2 a month for the podcast, I also love books edited by Robert M Price. This is a double win for me, this is a collection of some of my favorite mythos authors. Price not only edits the book, provides a wonderful intro, but he also introduces each story, and passes on some knowledge about the Mythos. I also love the illustrated insets for this book(awesome job Tim Kirk).

If you love the Cthulhu Mythos as much as I do, and want to expand your reading base from just HP Lovecraft and other old timers, then I suggest you pick up this book and become acquainted with the newer authors of this myth cycle.

Episode 50:

Rhan-Tegoth

50th

This is our 50th episode. The Cry of Cthulhu, Lurker at the Threshold, The Horror at the Museum and RHAN-TEGOTH. Check out Byron Craft’s scary book ‘The Cry of Cthulhu’ at http://www.byroncraftbooks.com/
Thank you all for listening for many of the last 50 episodes.

Also why do many lovecraftian Great Old Ones sound like they could be a novelty song from the 1960’s. [That that is from the song about a one eyed, one horn, flying, purple people eater] sounds like a GOO. RHAN-TEGOTH is a three eyed, six clawed, acid drippin’, people eater. Honestly, most GOO are people eaters.

306: Yig, Snakes & Serpent Men

306.png

We will be talking about Yig, his children, his curse and a ruthless terrorist based off of William F. Buckley. Check out audibletrial.com/pgttcm and support the show.
